AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Payload Operations Engineer to operate satellite payload subsystems for constellation service and in-orbit testing at the Barcelona SOC. This onsite, day-shift role supports 24x7 operations with occasional weekend work.

The role requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, with a preference for satellite payload experience and proficiency in Python/Java/Matlab/C#. Collaboration with SOC, NOC, and subsystem engineers is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM is required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience; Master’s degree or additional experience is preferred.
• Experience with satellite communication payloads is desirable.
• Familiarity with Git version control and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Programming experience in Python, Java, Matlab, or C#.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Support development of payload operations tools for automated tasks.
• Operate payload tools to configure payload during IOT and commercial service.
• Monitor telemetry and logs to evaluate service performance.
• Coordinate payload changes to maintain service levels.
• Collaborate with tool developers on updates and payload software.
