Job summary

ICEYE in Valencia is seeking a Software Engineer, Simulation and Modeling to build the software world in which our satellites operate. You’ll model the constellation, emitters, signals and scoring to enable “what if” analyses for capacity, revisit and geolocation performance.

You’ll collaborate with the lab, signal processing and ground segment teams to prototype, validate and scale end-to-end simulations. You’ll implement versioned scenarios, reproducible runs, and a user-friendly interface for

Qualifications

Proficient in Python with solid software engineering basics.
Experience building a simulation or model of a physical system and validating it.
Strong numeric computing using NumPy/SciPy or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Model the constellation: orbit propagation, geometry, attitude, pointing and timing.
Model emitters and the theatre with state machines and RF patterns.
Generate signals: propagation, link modelling, synthetic I/Q per satellite.
Own truth ledger and scoring: detection rate, false alarms, geolocation accuracy and latency.
Collaborate with RF team to align geometry and timing for channel simulation hardware.
Create a reproducible platform with versioned scenarios, tests and CI.
Answer capacity and performance questions for product and sales teams.
