Airbus in Madrid is seeking a qualified engineer to join their Industrialization Team, focused on defining and supporting new Industrial Test means for Space Electronic equipment. You will lead continuous improvement of existing testing methods, requiring proficiency in automation and customer support.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Aeronautic, Industrial or Electronic Engineering and should be proactive, well organized, and possess a strong digital mindset. English proficiency is essential, and knowledge of French is an advantage.

In the industrialization department, our mission is to guarantee the technical and digital means needed to execute manufacturing and test processes for Space Electronic equipment with excellent performance.

Our way of working is built upon trust, based on the principles of collaboration & cooperation, autonomy/accountability and flexibility. Our activities are split into missions whose set‑up are integrated in different Space business: Launchers, Earth Exploration (Copernicus), Space Exploration (Artemis), Commercial (Telecommunications Satellites).

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Define, specify, buy, deploy and support new Industrial Test means (Climatic/vacuum test chambers and shakers) according to customers’ requirements and ergonomics standards.
• Lead continuous improvement of the existing Test means, implementing best practices according to Quality, Cost and Time, mainly increasing automation.
• Manage dedicated software (e.g. LabView).
• Manage automatisms, PLC programming, HMIs, distributed systems, I/O controls and different communication protocols (TCP/UDP/IP, MODBUS, EtherCAT, etc.).
• Program autonomous controls (programmed relays, thermal control modules, etc.).
• Program remote controls.
• Provide support and troubleshoot in the shop floor.
• Define and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plan of Test equipment.
• Support and troubleshoot for the customer (projects) during vibration, vacuum and thermal test campaigns, including technical assessment and contributing actively to find adequate solutions.

Education and Skills Requirements

• Higher Education (Grade or Master) related to Aeronautic, Industrial or Electronic Engineering.
• English proficiency. French will be valued positively.
• Digital mindset (automation of tasks, scripting, use of digital design tools and simulators).
• Proactive, well organized, autonomous and with a clear teamwork value.
• Continuous improvement orientation.
• Customer support approach, including openness and flexibility.
• Keen interest in Space Business.
