Job summary

DHV Technology, based in Málaga, Spain, is developing space power solutions and deployable solar arrays for satellites. We seek an Environmental Test Engineer to prepare, execute, and document structural and thermal tests for space solar panels and subsystems.

The role involves frequent travel to external laboratories, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and ownership of test campaigns with emphasis on quality and timeliness. International projects and relocation support are available.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of environmental testing standards and procedures (ECSS, NASA).
• Understanding of dynamic analysis concepts: random and sinusoidal vibrations, shock.
• Experience with thermal and vacuum test setups and conditions.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for mechanical modeling and design.

Responsibilities

• Travelling frequently to external laboratories to support test execution and coordination.
• Preparing Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports for assigned projects.
• Executing vibration, shock, and vibro-acoustic tests in internal or external testing facilities.
• Conducting vacuum and thermal cycling tests (TVAC, bake-out, etc.).
• Ensuring test readiness, including tools, resources, and schedule alignment.
• Supporting specimen shipment and logistics in collaboration with Project Managers.
• Ensuring proper documentation, including relevant and traceable technical information.
• Making operational decisions during testing campaigns that do not compromise timelines or performance.
• Demonstrating ownership and proactivity throughout the test campaigns.
• Collaborating effectively with team members and contributing to a positive working environment.
