The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama seeks a Spa Supervisor to lead daily spa operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and mentor a high-performing wellness team. You will manage appointments, promote treatments and retail, and coordinate with engineering and other departments to uphold Ritz-Carlton standards.

Candidates should have 2+ years in luxury spa/hospitality, strong leadership, and fluent Spanish/English.

Formación

  • Minimum of 2 years in Spa or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of spa operations, scheduling, guest service, and wellness standards.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English; additional languages an asset.

Your responsibilities will include...
  • Inform employees of general hotel information, internal policies, operational procedures, and any relevant department communications.
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding Spa services, treatments, facilities, and retail products.
  • Verify guest information and confirm scheduled treatments prior to service delivery.
  • Oversee the daily appointment schedule, ensuring the efficient management of bookings, resources, and guest flow.
  • Coordinate last-minute schedule changes, resolve booking issues, and ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Actively promote Spa services, treatments, and retail products to support revenue and departmental objectives.
  • Manage inventory requests and monitor stock levels of Spa products, supplies, and equipment.
  • Inspect work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure compliance with company cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering department regarding preventive and corrective maintenance needs within the Spa.
  • Support management with recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and employee development activities.
  • Lead by example and foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and outstanding guest service.
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures, company policies, and brand standards.
  • Report and document accidents, injuries, incidents, and unsafe working conditions in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by anticipating guest needs and providing personalized solutions.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members and collaborate effectively with other resort departments.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and implement corrective action plans when necessary to improve performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Protect the confidentiality of guest and company information at all times.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors or management.
What we're looking for in you...
  • High School Diploma, Secondary Education Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a Spa, wellness center, luxury hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of Spa operations, treatment scheduling, guest service, and wellness industry standards.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Guest-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Sales and upselling skills related to Spa treatments and retail products.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, professional, and results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Spa reservation management systems.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English; additional languages are considered an asset.
  • Valid authorization to work in Spain.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional education or certification in Wellness, Spa Management, Hospitality, or related fields.
  • Previous supervisory experience within a luxury Spa or hotel environment.
  • Knowledge of Forbes, Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, or other luxury hospitality service standards.
