Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking a BMS Solutions Architect to translate customer needs into practical, integrated building automation solutions for commercial buildings, industrial facilities and large infrastructure projects.

You will blend technical design with strong customer engagement, develop building automation architectures, support bids and pre-sales activities, and provide guidance across HVAC, lighting, energy management and monitoring platforms.

Our client is an international technology business delivering industrial automation, intelligent control and digital transformation solutions. As it expands across Europe, it is seeking a BMS Solutions Architect to translate customer needs into practical, integrated solutions for commercial buildings, industrial facilities and large infrastructure projects.

The role

You will combine technical design with customer engagement, developing building automation architectures and supporting projects from early requirements through to implementation.

What You´ll Do

• Creating BMS architectures that bring together HVAC automation, lighting controls, energy management and building monitoring.
• Assessing customer requirements and defining integrated technical solutions.
• Supporting bids and pre-sales activity through technical proposals, tender documentation, presentations and demonstrations.
• Advising on building automation technologies from providers such as Honeywell, Schneider Electric and comparable vendors.
• Working with customers, engineering teams, system integrators and project stakeholders to support successful delivery.
• Exploring connections between building systems, industrial automation, IoT and digital monitoring platforms.

Your background

You will bring experience in BMS, building automation, smart buildings or integrated building controls, alongside a strong understanding of system architecture and integration.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Johnson Controls or comparable building automation technologies.
• A background in technical solution design, pre-sales engineering or systems architecture.
• Strong customer communication and technical presentation skills.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and project activities.

Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, KNX or OPC UA would be advantageous. Experience with energy optimisation, building analytics, IoT integration, engineering contractors or system integrators would also be valuable, particularly across commercial buildings, industrial sites, campuses or intelligent infrastructure projects.
