Pluxee España busca un/a Senior Backend Engineer para unirse a la Payments Squad y liderar la construcción de servicios backend que procesan pagos con alta precisión y tolerancia a fallos. Serás punto clave en diseñar arquitecturas resilientes, garantizar consistencia de datos y colaborar con equipos de React/React Native.

Se valora experiencia en Node.js, bases de datos modernas y herramientas de observabilidad.

Formación

• 5+ años de experiencia desarrollando aplicaciones en producción.
• Sólido entendimiento de sistemas distribuidos, condiciones de carrera y consistencia eventual.
• Experiencia en pagos/bancarios, gateways o conciliación será un plus.

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar servicios backend resilientes capaces de manejar alto volumen y mantener consistencia de datos.
• Evolucionar arquitecturas distribuidas hacia sistemas event-driven para escalar globalmente.
• Realizar testing (unitario, integración, aceptación) y simulaciones de carga.
• Monitorear servicios en producción con herramientas de observabilidad para identificar cuellos de botella.
• Liderar código y documentar estándares de ingeniería para el squad.
• Aprovechar herramientas AI para acelerar desarrollo y automatizar tareas repetitivas.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Design for Resilience: Build and optimize robust backend services capable of handling high-volume traffic while ensuring 100% data consistency and system reliability.


• Evolve Distributed Architectures: Understand the complexities of existing systems and evolve them into scalable, event-driven architectures to meet future global product requirements.


• High-Stakes Quality: In Payments, there is no room for error. You will be responsible for comprehensive testing (unit, integration, and acceptance) as well as advanced load and performance simulations.


• Operational Excellence & Observability: Monitor service health in production, using observability tools to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks or anomalies.


• Technical Leadership: Share your expertise through deep code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and documenting engineering standards that elevate the entire squad.


• AI-Driven Execution : Actively leverage AI tools and coding assistants on a daily basis to accelerate development cycles, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize overall team processes and delivery speed.

Our Technical Stack

• Backend Core: Node.js (TypeScript), NestJS (or similar frameworks).


• Data & State: MongoDB (Atlas), Redis for caching and distributing locking and PosgreSQL for our ledger database


• Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD (deploying multiple times daily).


• Observability: Sentry and Datadog/New Relic for real-time monitoring.


• AI & Productivity: GitHub Copilot, Claude Sonnet, ChatGPT, and other GenAI assistants.


• Collaboration: GitHub, GitLab, Slack, JIRA, Notion.


• (Note: You will collaborate closely with our React/React Native teams, but your focus will be 100% Backend).

You are a match

• Proven Senior Expertise: 5+ years of experience developing production-grade applications. Experience within the Node.js ecosystem will be a plus.


• Distributed Systems Mastery: Deep understanding of race conditions, eventual consistency, idempotency, and message brokers.


• The \\"Payments Mindset\\": experience with banking systems, payment gateways (Stripe, Adyen, etc.), ledger systems, or reconciliation processes will be a plus.


• AI-Empowered Developer : A strong inclination to lean on AI tools for problem-solving, code generation, and workflow optimization, always looking for ways to work smarter and improve team efficiency.


• Problem-Solving DNA: A systematic approach to troubleshooting complex issues in high-concurrency environments.


• Quality First: Extensive experience with automated testing patterns and a \\"shift-left\\" security mindset.
