Job summary

IKEA Madrid seeks a Software Engineer to join the Marketing Planning & Briefing team, developing digital tools for campaign planning, execution, and measurement. You will collaborate across SaaS platforms and custom solutions, driving integration and optimization of workflow systems in the marketing domain.

You will contribute to engineering best practices, write and review design docs, and participate in code reviews and automated testing to maintain quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Python, API development, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with leading workflow management platforms (such as Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Basecamp, or similar).
• Knowledge of designing and building integration between software systems.
• Ability to contribute to healthy engineering practices, including writing and reviewing technical and design documentation, code reviews, and automated testing.

To succeed in this role, you bring the following:

• Hands-on experience with leading workflow management platforms (such as Adobe Workfront, Basecamp, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar).
• Knowledge of designing and building Integration between Software Systems
• Ability to contribute to healthy engineering practices, including:
• Writing and reviewing technical and design documentation.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure code and architectural quality.
• Driving automated testing and operational excellence.

We see it as a bonus if you have:

• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of building and interacting with Agentic Systems.

Our team within IKEA

We are a relatively new area in the Growth and Marketing Retail Area. We are a combination of Software and Data Engineers working together to build and maintain the product of Marketing Strategy and Planning which focuses on Marketing campaign lifecycle and Marketing operations capabilities.

The role is based in Madrid Office in Spain and you will report to Siddharth Gupta, Engineering Manager.
