Comecer Barcelona, a leading company in the design and development of machinery for the pharmaceutical sector, is one of the few international companies capable of supplying complete aseptic filling lines.

We are seeking an Automation Software Engineer for our factory in Mataro.

Main objectives:

• Generate and control the software component of projects
• Design machine automation
• Coordinate with other departments
• Ensure project objectives are met
• Monitor planning
• Ensure proper operation of machines
• Troubleshoot issues
• Follow established standards and protocols

Main tasks:

• Manage project documentation and monitoring
• Define technical characteristics
• Complete project checklists
• Develop automation for machinery and industrial processes, including PLC and SCADA at the technical office
• Coordinate tasks of software support engineers
• Support the creation of work protocols
• Provide post-sale support related to automation parts
• Collaborate in developing standard software
• Participate in automation start-up processes

Reporting to: Software Engineering Manager

Job requirements: Automation Engineer

Professional experience: 3-5 years, aligned with the role's requirements

Skills and knowledge:

- Decision-making ability

- Teamwork skills

- Programming skills: Structured text, PLC programming (experience with Allen Bradley and CoDeSys valued), SCADA/HMI programming (experience with iFix and Indusoft valued), Motion or Robotics (experience with Stäubli valued)
