GMV Spain is seeking a software engineering lead to drive the development of DO‑178C safety‑critical software for an aerospace defense system. You will coordinate a software team, define high/low‑level requirements, design architecture, and implement in C/C++ with RTOS, while supervising tests and integration activities.
The role requires 4+ years in safety‑critical software, strong C/C++ and RTOS expertise, plus experience with DOORS, Enterprise Architect or Cameo, and CI/CD pipelines.
In our team, you will lead the development of DO‑178C safety‑critical software for an aeronautical system in the defense sector, ensuring technical robustness, quality and full traceability throughout the entire software lifecycle.
You will be responsible for coordinating the software development team, defining HLR/LLR requirements, designing software architecture, implementing solutions in C/C++ and RTOS, and reviewing unit tests, coverage results, integration activities and system‑level testing.
We are looking for graduates in Aeronautical, Industrial, Telecommunications or Computer Engineering, with at least 4 years of experience in safety‑critical software development, preferably in the aerospace or defense sector.
We value strong knowledge in C/C++ programming, RTOS, defining HLR/LLR requirements, specification tools such as DOORS, software design and architecture using Enterprise Architect or Cameo, and continuous integration (Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
We are looking for professionals capable of technically leading teams, eager to grow within high‑criticality aeronautical projects, passionate about high‑quality engineering and excellence in highly regulated environments.
We will also value experience with DO‑178C, software/hardware integration and advanced testing environments.
We promote equal opportunities in recruitment, and we are committed to inclusion and diversity.
