A leading creative agency in Barcelona is seeking a Social Creative Director to lead innovative content strategies in the Premium Waters Beverage Category. This hybrid freelance role requires strong social media expertise and a knack for culturally relevant storytelling. Ideal candidates will have 6–10 years of progressive experience and will thrive in a collaborative environment, driving creative excellence across diverse platforms.

  • Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram culture.
  • Ability to lead and inspire creative teams.

Job Title: Social Creative Director

Overview

You will be the bridge between craft and culture, transforming insights from the digital feed into innovative ideas that spark conversation, foster community, and strengthen brand love for our client. The role requires ensuring all our social content is culturally relevant, visually distinctive, and strategically sound; it is a social‑first creative lead in the Premium Waters Beverage Category.

Responsibilities
  • Champion a Social‑First Mindset: Lead the charge in conceptualising creative content directly from the feed outwards, moving beyond traditional advertising approaches. Ensure all creative assets are meticulously optimised for maximum engagement, share‑ability, and positive community impact across diverse social platforms.
  • Inspire and Lead Creative Teams: Provide visionary guidance and mentorship to a talented team of designers, art directors, content creators and copywriters. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages integrated, high‑performing ideas across all social channels and target markets.
  • Safeguard Brand Identity: Act as the guardian of the brand. Maintain, evolve, and consistently apply the brand’s visual and tonal integrity across all social platforms, formats, and campaigns, ensuring authenticity and premium appeal.
  • Drive Innovation and Efficiency: Explore and implement cutting‑edge tools and methodologies, including AI‑driven creative processes, virtual production techniques, and modular design systems. Create high‑quality content at scale without compromising craft, storytelling, or brand essence. Forge strong partnerships with Strategy, Content Planning, and Operations teams to ensure creative outputs are market‑adoptable, resonate deeply with local audiences, and are performance‑driven, aligning with broader business objectives.
  • Stay Ahead of Culture: Continuously track and analyse emerging creators, trends, and consumer behaviours across key platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and others. Leverage these insights to inspire novel creative approaches, fresh storytelling techniques, and maintain our brand’s cultural relevance.
Qualifications
  • A true ‘born on social’ creative, naturally concepting from the feed outwards, fluent in current platform trends, confident in breaking traditional format rules and understanding what drives social engagement.
  • Extensive experience with premium, aesthetic‑driven brands, demonstrating the ability to express emotion and brand essence through meticulous attention to rhythm, framing, texture, and tone in visual and motion content.
  • Cultural Relevance: Deep and nuanced understanding of TikTok and Instagram culture, including native humour, irony, lo‑fi aesthetics, and sensitivity to cultural moments and nuances.
  • Brand Sense: Proven ability to translate a brand’s core values—specifically the brand’s “elevated everyday” and Italian sophistication—into vibrant, social‑first storytelling.
  • 6–10 years of progressive experience in a Senior Art Director, Creative Director (Social), or Creative Lead role.
  • Preferred prior experience within fashion, premium beverage, or lifestyle brands.
  • Confident working seamlessly across both motion and still photography/videography, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both.
