Job summary

BD (Becton, Dickinson and Co.) is seeking a Smart Factory Project Manager in Barcelona to plan, execute, and close complex projects. You will lead cross-functional teams across design, engineering, manufacturing and operations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a solid background in project management, familiarity with MS Project/Jira/Asana, and a track record of delivering healthcare/medical device projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in project management, with end-to-end lifecycle ownership.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on scope, time and budget.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.
• Create full-scale project plans with tasks, timelines, and resources.
• Communicate expectations clearly to team members and stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with project stakeholders and align priorities.
• Estimate resources and coordinate acquisition as needed.
• Set and manage project expectations with the team and stakeholders.
• Delegate tasks to appropriate personnel.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the team.
• Identify dependencies and critical path.
• Plan and schedule timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track milestones and deliverables.
• Develop progress reports, requirements documents, and presentations.
• Proactively handle changes in scope and risks with contingency plans.
• Coach and mentor project team members and contractors.
• Conduct post-mortems and produce lesson-learned reports.
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution.
