Emburse in Barcelona is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help scale our cloud platform and ensure 24/7 availability. You will own complex cross‑team incidents, automate cloud applications, and collaborate with product and engineering to align priorities with the roadmap.

You’ll work heavily with Kubernetes, observability, and IaC, mentoring junior engineers and shaping best practices across the team.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM field required.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an engineering role required.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure as code, scripting, self-healing, containers, DevOps tooling, distributed systems highly desired.
• Strong Kubernetes experience.
• Observability background.
• Preferred AWS with optional Azure Cloud experience.
• Experience working with Ansible and Terraform tools highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English; experience with full lifecycle of SaaS implementations as well as Infrastructure as code.
• Excellent follow-up and project management skills.
• Proven ability to create and maintain new tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Up to 70% of the job is hands on in a distributed Linux environment.
• Strong scripting skills; OOP is a plus.
• Liaise between other teams to help prioritize and align priorities.
• Experience working with an offshore team.

Responsabilidades

• Meet and beat KPIs, SLAs and maintain an error budget.
• Identify, evaluate, and execute preventative measures to minimize impact on customer experience.
• Improve availability, performance, and security for CR and Emburse with 24/7 readiness.
• Code and automate applications on cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to build shared services for platform teams.
• Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and epic planning.
• Ensure platform reliability with four 9s availability.
• Define non-functional requirements for scalable distributed systems.
