A leading global energy management company is seeking a Site Manager to oversee construction projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in site supervision, possess strong communication skills, and be fluent in English. Responsibilities include managing site organization, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and preparing project reports. The role requires flexibility to travel up to 75% of the time within the EU.

Formación

  • 10+ years as a Site Supervisor / Commissioning Supervisor.
  • Fluent in English (C1); additional languages are an advantage.
  • Experience with Schneider Equipment is preferred.

The Site Manager is responsible for managing the construction of one or more sites. The role involves setting up and monitoring site organization in conjunction with site supervisors, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and technical regulations, keeping projects on schedule, managing costs and resources, and reporting to the Head of Regional Site Teams and the Operation Manager of the GCP Ops Site Works department. The Site Manager also handles site record management and provides feedback at site closure.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule drafting and monitoring supervision
    • Ensure compliance with the project schedule.
    • Supervise drafting and monitoring of site schedules with the Site Works Coordinator.
  • Budget management
    • Validate project objectives, costs, deadlines, and resources with the Project Manager.
    • Organise the site in compliance with budget objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and report discrepancies in the monthly report.
    • Maintain the NR monitoring and opportunity & claim folder.
    • Manage site risks, identifying solutions to eradicate or avoid them.
  • Project preparation
    • Prepare the project before site work starts, coordinating with departments, GCP/Ops Operation, Site Works Coordinator, and Project Manager.
    • Prepare the budget quote for the internal contract.
    • Define assembly methodologies and adapt them to contractual requirements.
    • Pass the work plan to site supervisors.
    • Set up the organisational structure and offices on site.
  • Project / site management
    • Comply with organisational requirements defined with the Project Manager and GCP/Ops Operation.
    • Manage the project with site supervisors according to job specifications, contractual terms, assignment order, quality plan, HSE plan, and operating procedures.
    • Accept and store equipment and devices on site in compliance with legislation and local regulations.
    • Provide technical support to the Site Works Coordinator if required.
  • Compliance with quality of service / supply
    • Set up a site quality plan and control supplied products.
    • Ensure operation and quality of the site(s) in accordance with project operating procedures, folders and instructions.
    • Understand and qualify the customer’s facilities to propose improvements.
    • Maintain, calibrate, and deliver monitoring, test and commissioning equipment and devices.
    • Ensure operators update drawings and submit "RED MARKS" documents to the Design Office for final "AS BUILT" documents.
  • Interface with the Project Manager and reporting
    • Prepare and send monthly status and progress reports, meeting minutes, damage statements, equipment condition, stocks, incident records, and non‑conformance records to the Project Manager and GCP/Ops Operation.
  • End of projects
    • Prepare all end‑of‑project assessment items with the Site Works Coordinator and ensure annotated documents and drawings are centralised and approved.
  • Compliance with HSE requirements
    • Apply health and safety requirements at site according to local regulations, SE directives, and customer requirements.
    • Allocate resources, skills and accreditation appropriate to the work.
    • Implement, manage and update safety plans and risk assessments.
    • Ensure FSRs and subcontractors apply HSE rules.
    • Perform safety inspections, conduct meetings, manage action plans, incidents, and monitor safety KPIs.
  • Authority
    • Overall responsibility for EHS aspects on responsible sites based on skills, means and authority.
  • Schneider Electric charter of values and instructions
    • Comply with the charter of values and ensure personnel comply on site.
    • Follow Schneider Electric instructions and ensure compliance by personnel.
Requirements
  • Ability to travel: up to 75% of working time (EU passport holders)
  • Education: Baccalaureate + 2 years of study in Electrical Engineering
  • Languages: English – fluent (C1); other languages are an advantage
  • Experience: 10+ years as a Site Supervisor / Commissioning Supervisor; experience or literacy with Schneider Equipment for MV, Protection Relays, UPS APC Symmetra, and LV Distribution panels is an advantage

  • Software and technical skills
    • Proficiency with MS Office (Project), Acrobat, AutoCAD, Outlook, testing device software, protection relay setting software
    • Advanced knowledge of medium and low voltage equipment, power stations, commissioning test principles, high voltage substations, and electrical networks
