Amazon Spain Fulfillment, S.L.U. is seeking a Site Leader/Senior Operations Manager to own the operational metrics and strategy for a key site. You will develop a large team of leaders, coach and mentor them, and drive improvements in quality, safety and productivity across the site.

You will base yourself at one of our operational sites, balancing long-term objectives with day-to-day leadership, contingency planning, and peak-season readiness to ensure smooth, customer-focused fulfillment.

Formación

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, distribution logistics environments, retail, or grocery management roles.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • A degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and upper intermediate proficiency in the local language.

Description

Our operations help everything to come together at Amazon. As the Site Leader/Senior Operations Manager in a fast-paced and challenging environment, you’ll be the person who knows your area of the business inside out. You’ll own the operational metrics and set the strategy for your area of the business to deliver for our customers and ultimately grow our operations. You’ll also develop a large team and coach and mentor team leaders.

A day in the life

You’ll be based at one of our operational sites. Spending lots of time on site will help you develop your team and collaborate on operational planning. This role has two sides. You’ll manage and motivate a team of leaders. At the same time, you’ll focus on long-term objectives. This includes creating contingency plans to keep operations running and mitigate against disruptions and driving initiatives that boost quality, safety and productivity. You’ll be a source of accountability and a business-wide champion of best practice.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, distribution logistics environments, retail, or grocery management roles
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • A degree
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and upper intermediate proficiency in the local language

  • A bachelor’s, advanced or master’s degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing
  • Experience in managing third-party relationships
  • Experience of applying Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
