Julius Baer is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to join our IT Service Management engineering team in Madrid. You will primarily develop ITSM configurations, automation, and integrations to support the Business-as-Usual stream.

The role requires a minimum 1 year of ServiceNow configuration and scripting experience, familiarity with ITIL practices, and a collaborative, agile mindset. A hybrid work arrangement in Madrid (three days on-site) is available.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year practical ServiceNow configuration and scripting.
• Solid foundation in ITIL, GlideApi, JSON/XML, REST/SOAP, Business Rules and client scripts on the ServiceNow platform.
• Basic understanding of ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem, Change Management) and their enterprise implementations.
• Familiarity with web technologies, JSON/XML, and integration patterns (REST/SOAP).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities; comfortable debugging and finding root causes.
• Collaborative mindset with good communication; agile team contributor.
• Willingness to own tasks, follow coding standards, and improve craft.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
• Certifications like CSA or Associate Developer are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model in Madrid (three days a week).

We are seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to join our IT Service Management engineering team. In your role you will be mainly developing, but not restricted to, ITSM supporting our Business-as-Usual Stream.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Key areas of involvement include:

• Application Development & Configuration: Build custom applications, forms, modules, and workflows tailored to business requirements across Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management
• Automation & Workflow Design: Develop and optimise automated processes to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen compliance
• System Integrations: Collaborate on integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or integration hubs
• Performance & Stability: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and apply best practices for scalability and usability
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all developments adhere to strict security protocols, access controls, and audit requirements in line with financial industry standards
• Working closely with fellow developers, process owners, and IT stakeholders, gaining insight into both technical architecture and business operations within a globally regulated environment

YOUR PROFILE

• Minimum 1 year practical ServiceNow configuration and scripting
• Solid foundation in ITIL, GlideApi, JSON/XML, REST/SOAP, Business Rules and client scripts on the ServiceNow platform
• Basic understanding of ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem, Change Management) and their implementation in enterprise systems
• Familiarity with web technologies, JSON/XML, and integration patterns (REST/SOAP)
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities - you enjoy digging into logs, debugging issues, and finding root causes
• A collaborative mindset with good communication skills; comfortable asking questions, giving updates, and working in agile teams
• Willingness to take ownership, follow coding standards, and continuously improve your craft
• Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset in our international setting
• Certifications such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Associate Developer are advantageous but not mandatory
• Availability to work in a hybrid model in Madrid (three days a week)
