Openbank, the digital bank of Santander, is seeking an SEO & GEO Optimization Project Manager in Madrid to lead the organic growth strategy across a major CMS migration from Drupal to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

You will own technical SEO, GEO/LLM optimization, content strategy, and enterprise project management, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Content, UX, Analytics and Marketing to maximise visibility and AI-driven discovery.

Formación

• 7+ years of experience in Technical SEO, Organic Growth or Digital Acquisition.
• Proven experience leading enterprise SEO programs and CMS migrations (AEM preferred).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and fluency in English/Spanish.

Responsabilidades

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

Openbank is looking for a SEO & GEO Optimization Project Manager based out of Madrid.

You will lead the evolution of our organic acquisition strategy while managing the SEO workstream of a large-scale CMS migration from Drupal to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

This role combines technical SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), AI search optimization, content strategy and enterprise project management. You will help shape how Openbank is discovered across traditional search engines as well as Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-powered search experiences.

Working closely with Product, Engineering, Content, UX, Analytics, Brand and Marketing teams, you will ensure our digital ecosystem is built to maximise visibility, authority and discoverability in the next generation of search.

To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

Organic Growth Strategy

• Define and execute the overall SEO, GEO and LLM optimization strategy.
• Drive sustainable organic acquisition across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms.
• Identify new opportunities to increase visibility, authority and customer acquisition.

CMS Migration

• Lead the SEO workstream of the migration from Drupal to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Define SEO and content requirements for the new platform.
• Ensure SEO best practices are embedded into templates, components, taxonomy and information architecture.
• Define migration governance, QA processes and post-launch monitoring.
• Coordinate internal teams and external implementation partners throughout the migration.

GEO & LLM Optimization

• Develop strategies to optimise Openbank's visibility across AI-powered search engines and Large Language Models.
• Define content structures and knowledge architectures that improve AI discoverability.
• Partner with Brand and Content teams to create authoritative, structured and machine-readable content.
• Improve entity recognition, topical authority and semantic relevance.
• Monitor emerging trends in AI search and recommend new optimisation opportunities.
• Define best practices for content designed to be surfaced and cited by LLMs.

Technical SEO

• Own technical SEO strategy across all digital properties.
• Improve crawling, indexation, rendering and Core Web Vitals.
• Drive structured data implementation and technical governance.
• Partner with Engineering to embed SEO requirements into the development lifecycle.

Analytics & Performance

• Define KPIs and success metrics for SEO, GEO and AI visibility.
• Monitor rankings, traffic, AI referrals, crawl health and organic conversions.
• Build executive dashboards and communicate performance to senior stakeholders.
• Identify risks and continuous optimisation opportunities.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the subject matter expert for SEO, GEO and AI Search.
• Coordinate Product, Engineering, UX, Marketing, Analytics and external agencies.
• Influence senior stakeholders and promote SEO best practices across the organisation.
• Drive continuous innovation in organic acquisition.

Professional Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Technical SEO, Organic Growth or Digital Acquisition.
• Proven experience leading enterprise SEO programs.
• Experience managing CMS implementations or large-scale migrations (Adobe Experience Manager).
• Strong understanding of modern CMS platforms and content architectures.
• Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams.
• Knowledge of AI-powered search ecosystems and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
• Familiarity with how Large Language Models retrieve, rank and surface information.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Education

• University or master’s degree in ADE, Digital Marketing or similar field (required).

Language

• Fluent in English (Required)
• Fluent in Spanish (Preferred)
