NTT DATA is seeking a highly skilled z/OS Mainframe Storage Engineer to manage and optimize enterprise mainframe storage infrastructure in Spain. You will oversee installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and modernization of storage platforms supporting IBM z/OS environments.

The role requires deep expertise in IBM mainframe storage technologies, strong problem-solving abilities, and collaboration across infrastructure, operations, and application support teams

Formación

• 8 to 15+ years of experience in Mainframe Infrastructure and z/OS Storage Administration.
• Hands-on experience supporting IBM z/OS storage in large-scale enterprises.
• Experience with IBM DS8000 storage, virtual tape systems, DR solutions, and storage management products.
• Proven ability to manage storage capacity, backup/recovery, replication, and operations.
• Experience in regulated environments (banking/financial services) preferred.
• Strong expertise in IBM DS8000, DSCLI, GDPS, PPRC, DFHSM, DFDSS, z/OS IODF, SMS, and related topics.

Responsabilidades

• Manage mainframe disk and storage administration: install, upgrade, provision, restore, and support.
• Perform daily operations: health checks, incident management, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Plan storage capacity expansions and infrastructure changes.
• Configure and maintain storage resources supporting databases, VSAM, work datasets, and sort spaces.
• Administer storage management products including CA Disk and utilities.
• Install, test, and maintain storage hardware and software solutions.
• Handle z/OS hardware planning: IODF, LPAR, HMC administration, and system changes.
• Administer backup, recovery, archival, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Use SMP/E and z/OSMF for software maintenance and deployment.
• Manage storage volume allocation, capacity reporting, and DR testing.
