Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal civil engineer in our Water Division to lead major water infrastructure design. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure delivery of high-quality technical output across the project lifecycle.

The role offers opportunities to work across UK and international projects, travel as needed, and contribute to innovative water solutions within a supportive, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Chartered Status (CEng) with a recognised Professional Institution.
• Proven ability to deliver complex technical projects and lead design teams.
• Demonstrable experience in design delivery and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities across internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of project(s), coordinating project teams to ensure technical excellence within budget and programme.
• Produce and review engineering calculations, specifications, drawings and reports, managing design risk.
• Represent the company in meetings, building relationships with clients to secure further work.
• Deliver projects in close partnership with clients and contractors.
• Contribute to technical excellence and commercial success through forecasting, risk management, bids, and proposals.
• Adhere to Mott MacDonald’s global standards and oversee Health, Safety and Welfare.
