Apple Inc. in Barcelona is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our internal tools QA team to test and automate workflows used by internal teams delivering streaming content for TV apps.

You will build on existing UI and API automation with Selenium, Playwright, and Pytest, write and execute tests in Python and TypeScript, analyze results, triage issues, and help shape automation strategy across web-based tools and services.

Description

We’re looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our internal tools QA team to test & automate workflows that our internal teams and partners use to deliver all of our streaming content in the TV App. We are seeking an experienced engineer who is proactive, detail oriented, and can multi-task effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build on existing UI and BE automation for internal video tools with a focus on live streaming platform and sports tools
• Write and execute manual and automated tests that target Apple TV internal sports and live streaming video tools.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot, assess risk, and triage issues with different teams.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans for web-based apps.
• Collaborate with developers, EPMs & QA engineers to understand features in-depth, plan sprints, plan test cycles, design test automation and analyze defects.
• Manage a consistently evolving backlog of automation needs, schedule work and contribute significantly to automation test coverage according to priorities defined by our stakeholders
• Coordinate test plans among QA engineers, track progress, and report results.
• Evangelize software testing best practices and influence architecture and design decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Automated web UI testing using Selenium and Playwright
• Experience in API functional testing, API test development, execution of automated tests and bug reporting.
• Proficiency with programming in Python and TypeScript and experience with UNIX-based systems for debugging, analysis, and automation.
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields preferred.
• Substantial experience in quality engineering and/or software development.
• Experience developing test automation with Pytest, JUnit, or TestNg and knowledge of Data Driven Testing
• Experience with web devTools, server side logging tools (e.g. Splunk) and HTTP traffic monitoring tools (e.g. Charles Proxy).
• Experience working closely with development teams in an Agile software development environment.
• Ability to abstract technical details and effectively communicate to audiences at different levels
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
• Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment
