Job summary

AXA XL in Madrid is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Political Risks and Credit Bonds. You will underwrite political risk and credit risk across Europe, support planning, and manage client and broker relationships with a focus on profitability and risk control.

The role requires strong PRCB underwriting experience, credit analysis skills, and bilingual English/Spanish communication. It is part of a global underwriting team and involves interacting with brokers and clients to structure and price

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in banking or insurance with focus on credit and political risk.
• Proven PRCB underwriting experience and best practice recognized.
• Credit analysis with interest in global economic/political affairs.

Responsibilities

• Exercise discretion in risk analysis aligned with strategy and risk appetite.
• Collaborate with underwriters, assistants and management in a team.
• Analyze portfolio performance and drive profitable growth actions.
• Maintain underwriting guidelines and legal compliance.
• Build long-term relationships with brokers and clients.
• Develop distribution and marketing plans to hit top and bottom line objectives.
