AXA XL in Madrid seeks an experienced Senior Underwriter for Political Risks & Credit Bonds. You will underwrite within approved authority, support planning and forecasting, monitor exposures and premiums, and contribute to settlements while maintaining strong broker and client relationships.

The role requires expert technical knowledge of political risk and credit, and fluency in English and Spanish. You will join a global underwriting team focused on growth across Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience in banking or insurance with focus on credit/political risk analysis.
• Proven PRCB underwriting experience; trade/export finance or structured credit preferred.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish; other languages a plus.

Responsabilités

• Exercise discretion in risk analysis against strategy and risk appetite.
• Collaborate with underwriters, assistants and management.
• Analyze portfolio and accounts to drive profitable growth.
• Maintain compliance with underwriting guidelines and legal requirements.
• Understand AXA XL strategy including financial measures.
• Plan and integrate distribution/marketing plans.
• Build long-term relationships with brokers and clients in market.
