Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in Spain seeks a Contract Manufacturing Manager to serve as the primary interface between AbbVie, Third-Party Manufacturers (TPMs) and Third-Party Customers (TPCs).

The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Legal, MTS, R&D, Materials Management & Logistics, QA and Regulatory to ensure material supply and contract commitments. Travel to TPM/TPC sites, manage capacity against long-range plans, negotiate extensions, and identify sourcing opportunities to optimize value for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Operations, Business or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience across Manufacturing, Program Management, Materials Management, Logistics, QA, Marketing, Business Development or Engineering.
• Experience with combination products and/or medical devices preferred.
• Demonstrated success in financial analysis, negotiations and project management.
• Excellent program management, presentation, oral and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented, with the ability to understand operational and logistical issues.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to manufacturing and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between AbbVie and TPMs/TPCs; travel to sites to build productive working relationships.
• Serve as the primary AbbVie interface with executive management at TPMs and TPCs.
• Ensure contract commitments are fulfilled by both parties, and resolve issues when they are not.
• Assess TPM capacity against long-range plan (LRP) forecasts to determine objectives; communicate concerns.
• Identify opportunities to in-source or out-source products to maximize benefit to AbbVie.
• Work with AbbVie functions to negotiate new and extended contracts; ensure performance metrics and contract terms align with objectives.
• Maintain Third-Party Contract information in contract databases; track dates and milestones.
• Identify TPMs for new/existing products; support launches and transfers; provide forecasting information.
• Develop and maintain a TPM Capability and Due Diligence Database; maintain worldwide TPM knowledge.
