Job summary

Diamond Foundry seeks a Senior Thermal-Fluids Engineer to lead advanced liquid cooling solutions for SCD-based semiconductor devices. You will design, prototype, and experimentally validate cooling architectures, focusing on jet impingement, spray cooling, and microjet technologies, and integrate with diamond-based semiconductor systems.

You will be hands-on from concept to prototype, modeling fluid flow and heat transfer, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MSc/PhD valued.
• Experience in thermal-fluid hardware design and validation.
• Experience with jet impingement, spray cooling, microjets or high heat-flux cooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of high-performance liquid cooling architectures for SCD-based semiconductor thermal management, including jet impingement, spray, and microjet-based concepts.
• Model and optimize fluid flow and heat transfer to define jet/nozzle geometries, flow distribution, pressure, temperature, and operating conditions.
• Design cooling hardware for prototyping and manufacturing, incorporating fluid distribution, extraction/return paths, and micro-machined features while considering fabrication constraints.
• Build and experimentally characterize prototypes, analyzing thermal and fluid performance and iterating designs.
• Drive the technical development from initial concept through prototype demonstration and integration with SCD-based semiconductor devices.
