As the primary quality interface with suppliers, the SQE drives supplier development through audits, production and process approvals, quality agreements, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The SQE proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates supplier quality risks, leads the resolution of quality issues, analyzes supplier performance trends, and partners with cross-functional teams to implement preventive actions that reduce defects, enhance supplier quality, and support operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

  • Supplier Quality Management / Single Point of Contact - Communicate supplier quality concerns, corrective actions, and resolution status to internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), preferably either: in the semiconductor industry, vacuum process components, instrumentation equipment, or advanced related technologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes, including precision machining, welding, surface finishing, and production controls, with experience applying quality management principles to assess supplier capability, process robustness, and product reliability.
  • Proven ability to work independently while effectively managing priorities and meeting deadlines, with a collaborative approach to working across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills that enable effective collaboration in fast-paced, international engineering environments.
