Adzuna Limited in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Business Services & Advisory team. You will prepare financial statements, manage multi-entity client groups and liaise with clients and authorities, with one day of remote work per week.

This is a permanent full-time role offering opportunities to develop toward Manager responsibilities, with access to Partners, regular training and a collaborative environment that combines local and offshore support.

Qualifikationen

• CA or CPA completed, or actively progressing towards completion.
• Five+ years in Australian public practice in business services.
• Strong financial statement and tax return preparation.
• Experience with multi-entity groups and Australian taxation.
• Excellent communication and deadline adherence.

Aufgaben

• Preparing financial statements, tax returns and compliance work across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
• Working through intercompany balances, Division 7A issues and complex group structures
• Managing allocated client work and communicating directly with clients
• Supporting tax planning and identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes
• Participating in client meetings and preparing analysis for advisory discussions
• Liaising with the ATO and other authorities
• Completing jobs within agreed deadlines and budgets
• Reviewing work with Managers and Associate Directors, and undertaking initial reviews where appropriate

Senior Accountant | Business Services & Advisory

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 + superannuation

Location: Parkville, Melbourne

The Role

Our client is an established accounting and advisory practice offering business advisory, wealth management and lending services.

Clients span industries including construction, hospitality and professional services, alongside complex local and international groups. Some structures involve 20–30 companies, providing exposure to connected entities, investments and detailed tax considerations.

Business advisory operates through dedicated teams, with local accountants and offshore support working together. Separate personal tax and SMSF divisions provide specialist services across the broader practice.

Systems include Xero, Xero Practice Manager, FYI Docs, BGL and a purpose-built reporting dashboard.

What You’ll Bring

• Ideally five or more years of Australian public practice experience in business services
• CA or CPA completed, or actively progressing towards completion
• Strong capability in financial statement and tax return preparation
• Experience with multi-entity groups and sound knowledge of Australian taxation
• Confidence communicating with clients and following up outstanding matters
• Attention to detail, initiative and accountability for your work
• The ability to manage competing deadlines and work within job budgets
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support junior colleagues

Experience with Xero, XPM and FYI Docs will be highly regarded.
