Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U. in Madrid is seeking a Senior System Engineer to shape the future of grid power solutions. You will design power electronic converter systems, such as STATCOMs, and own the system engineering scope from tendering to project execution.

Responsibilities include simulations in MATLAB/Simulink, defining components, control and protection, and ensuring compliance with standards. Travel to sites will be <10% as needed, with collaboration across R&D and other teams.

Formación

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with focus on Power Systems and Power Electronics
• Experience in power electronics and power system simulations; hydropower or railway sector a strong plus
• Fluent in English; German or additional languages advantageous

Responsabilidades

• Design power electronic converter systems (SFC, STATCOMs) from sales/tendering through project execution
• Own the system engineering scope and coordinate with Sales, other engineering teams, Project Management and Service
• Perform system design tasks including simulations, performance calculations, component specs, control/protection definitions and documentation
