Schindler, S.A. in Zaragoza, Spain, is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to translate customer requirements into technically feasible elevator system solutions.

You will act as a key technical interface between Sales, Supply Chain, and project execution, leading development for complex international projects. The role involves coordinating with global teams, reviewing technical configurations and pre-engineering packages, and ensuring compliance with standards and quality requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years in Application Engineering, R&D Project Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD) and ERP/SAP knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Translate customer and project requirements into technically feasible product solutions.
• Interface between Sales, Supply Chain and project execution.
• Lead development of technical solutions for elevator projects, incl. non-standard applications.
• Prepare and review layout drawings, configurations and pre-engineering packages for offers/orders.
• Coordinate with international teams and stakeholders to ensure progress and compliance.

About Us: We are a leading company in the elevator and vertical transportation industry, delivering innovative solutions across the world. We are looking for a motivated Senior Solution Engineer to join our European Application Engineering team.

Key responsibilities include:

• As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will translate customer and project requirements into technically feasible, cost-effective product solutions. You will act as a key technical interface between Sales, Supply Chain, and project execution.


• This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in an international environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while providing technical expertise.


• Lead the development of technical solutions for elevator projects, including complex and non-standard applications.


• Prepare and review layout drawings, technical configurations and pre-engineering packages for offers and project orders.


• Assess technical feasibility, risks and deviations, ensuring solutions consider cost, manufacturability, installation and maintainability.


• Coordinate technical requirements and project information with international teams, internal stakeholders, factories and suppliers.


• Monitor technical project progress, resolve complex engineering issues and provide technical guidance when required.


• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations and quality requirements.


• Contribute to standardization, lessons learned and continuous improvement of engineering processes and solutions.

Mobility needs you

Experience:

• Typically, 5+ years of experience in Application Engineering, R&D Project Engineering or a similar technical role.

Preferred

• Experience in the elevator industry is strongly preferred.


• Experience working with international and cross-functional teams is an advantage.

Education:

• University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or another relevant technical field.

Technical Skills:

• Strong ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and customer requirements.


• Good understanding of technical configuration, feasibility assessment and engineering documentation.


• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or similar. Revit is a plus.


• Knowledge of product configuration, ERP/SAP or engineering tools is an advantage.


• Good understanding of manufacturing, installation and project execution constraints.


• Knowledge of elevator products, applications and applicable standards is desirable.
