Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Data Search based in Spain/Europe to build and improve a large-scale creator search system. You will work across the full search stack, including embeddings, ranking, and low-latency serving, handling hundreds of millions of profiles and media files.

You will own features from discovery through production, collaborate with data, product, and leadership teams, and apply distributed systems and LLM-powered approaches to challenging scale problems

Qualifications

• Experience building large-scale data, backend, or search products with focus on latency, scale and cost.
• Ability to take initiatives from concept through production release and measurement.
• Strong distributed systems design and operation tradeoffs.
• Experience with LLM-powered features in production environments.
• Comfort working autonomously on ambiguous problems and communicating with stakeholders.
• Proven collaboration across data, product, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Improve creator discovery across hundreds of millions of profiles and billions of media files, focusing on retrieval, ranking and relevance.
• Design and build systems to generate multimodal embeddings from images, video, text, and audio at scale.
• Develop new search capabilities and move experiments to reliable production with measurable outcomes.
• Own end-to-end problems: requirements, architecture, coding, deployment, and iteration.
• Diagnose and resolve relevance and performance issues across data, queries, retrieval, and models.
• Evaluate new models and technologies and identify where they improve search quality and cost.
