A leading software company in Barcelona is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development of internal IT tools. This position requires strong expertise in Ruby on Rails for backend and solid skills in React, JavaScript, or TypeScript for frontend development. Factorial is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of internal IT tools for thousands of businesses worldwide.
You’ll join the newly formed IT Management domain, where we’re creating a platform to manage onboarding, permissions, support, and equipment, so new employees are productive from day one.
If you’re excited about shaping a new product area, owning features end-to-end, and working in a people‑first company with a strong engineering culture, this role is for you.
We're particularly interested in candidates with strong experience in Ruby on Rails for the backend. On the frontend, we're looking for solid skills in React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

About the IT Management Domain

Factorial is an all‑in‑one business management software designed to help managers of businesses overcome their daily challenges around People Operations, Talent Development, and Financial Management. Because managers are not just there to manage people, but to bring out the best in them.
Our vision is that Factorial must include a product that makes onboarding new employees a simple and streamlined process, from the point of view of equipment, permissions and accesses.
Our mission in the IT Management Domain is building this new product in Factorial, including multiples moving pieces (inventory management, support ticketing, MDM, IdP, integrated onboarding, etc.), so employees are productive as soon as they receive the equipment and complete the onboarding process.

Engineering Team

At Factorial, we have a team of +150 very talented fullstack developers. We look for smart people who are curious, proactive and have good soft/communication skills.
We are not looking for a long list of skills and technologies. Our stack is Ruby on Rails for the backend and React/React‑native for the clients.

A Senior engineer at Factorial influences requirements definition with the PM, and is autonomous to deliver a polished solution that matches those. You participate in the team’s decision through Requests For Comments that you write yourself or reading others’.
You will be a product engineer, taking ownership of big initiatives, and being interested in the outcome, not just the output. About the outcome, you’ll also work with your team members to establish goals and plan a quarterly roadmap, putting special attention to the technical needs of our domain.
You will involved in customer calls to learn about their pains & needs.
You will review code daily and get feedback on your own code at every pull request, from all team members, including juniors.
You will learn from the entire team, both on technical topics (performance, architecture…) and core skills, in an environment driven by engineering quality. You will also mentor junior team members and help them learn from your experience.
