Atmen, a Munich and Madrid-based RegTech startup, is hiring a senior full-stack engineer. You will develop, test, and deploy scalable software across frontend and backend layers using TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

You’ll own features end-to-end, mentor teammates, and help improve performance while delivering enterprise-grade certification solutions. The role requires 5+ years in software development, a Master’s in CS or related field, and excellent English communication.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

We replace today's manual, costly, and unpredictable certification processes with continuous, technology-driven verification. Our mission? Making sustainable production simple, scalable, and cost-effective.

Tasks

• Develop, test, and deploy full-stack software solutions, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.
• Drive development from ideation to production, working closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.
• Lead by example by writing clean, testable code and supporting engineering best practices.
• Own features end-to-end— from architecture to implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Mentor and collaborate with team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability to ensure our platform meets enterprise-grade standards.

Must-haves

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in full-stack roles.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Strong software engineering principles: clean code, modularity, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable, distributed systems.
• Self-motivated and able to navigate a fast-changing startup environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with Quality Assurance (QA) workflows
• Exposure to one of: AI/ML, GenAI integrations, Security
• Related domain expertise: energy, certification, sustainability, or regulated industries.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
