What are we looking for

Finance & Compliance Team

Joining this team means having a direct impact on one of the most critical areas of Fevers business: ensuring that every cent of value we generate across multiple currencies and countries is calculated, invoiced and reported with the highest precision while scaling across millions of transactions.

What we do

• Calculate the companys revenue by applying technology to a complex system of commercial conditions.
• Invoice and settle with our partners in more than 50 countries (and growing every day).
• Invoice our customers both end-users and businesses.
• Automate tax reporting and compliance with relevant authorities.
• Build processes for product categorization to ensure correct tax application for each type of product.

Finance & Compliance acts like a SaaS partner within the Fever ecosystem delivering financial tax and compliance services to internal teams, partners and clients. By automating processes end-to-end we enable efficiency, trust and seamless collaboration at a global scale.

This is a problem of scale. We process massive volumes of sales per second with multiple purchase and revenue flows that require high-quality engineering solutions. If you enjoy Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven architectures and leveraging asyncio for concurrency this is the perfect playground.

What would you do at Fever

On your first month in Fever

• You will be fully integrated into the team. You will participate in plannings, groomings and retrospectives of the team and you will have met the departments of Fever.
• You will get familiar with Fevers tech stack: frameworks used to develop our applications, CI/CD workflows and infrastructure that support our operations.
• You will have lots of Pull Requests merged and running in production.
• You will attend some of the Fever Originals experiences like Candlelight.

After 3 months in Fever

• You will be able to come up with solutions to new difficult problems, defining the solution from the architecture design to its implementation.
• You will continue creating production grade Python code designed to handle high levels of traffic, measuring the outcome of the functionalities and improving the product.
• You will participate in some of the hackdays or hackathons we organise with other teams and you will mostly know everybody from engineering.

On your 6th month in Fever

• You will have responsibilities over different parts of the systems, analysing the usage from the users and evolving the platform to meet the users needs.
• You will have participated in the launch of one of our new microservices from 0 to production.
• You will mentor other team members through code reviews, sessions of architecture design and pair programming.
• You will participate in some of the team buildings we organise for your team or the whole engineering team.

About you

Must have skills

• Strong knowledge on good practices, testing and design patterns.
• You are proficient in business English.
• You know how to deliver code from development to production.
• Experience with RESTful APIs (implementation and consumption).
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

We use these technologies so it would be a plus if you have experience in

• Django / Flask & FastAPI
• PostgreSQL
• Redis
• Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience working on agile methodology.
• Event communication between services.
• Handling services with more than 1000 request / second.
• AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.

Base Salary: 50,000 - 65,000 EUR

Total Compensation: 67,500 - 90,000 EUR (Including Base Variable and Stock Options)

• Team Interview - 2h: A discussion about your proposed solution to the technical challenge and your chance to make sure you know everything you need about Fever.
