XITASO in Madrid/Malaga is seeking a senior software engineer to join an interdisciplinary team delivering high-end software solutions. You will design architectures, practice agile development, mentor peers, and explore AI for software engineering with modern tools.

Formación

• University degree in computer science or related field.
• Several years of practical experience in software development.
• Excellent Spanish and English skills (C1).
• Familiar with current technology stack and eager to expand it.
• Broad understanding of technology and concepts.
• Commitment to high quality including unit tests, code reviews, clean code, design patterns, refactoring.
• Experience with AI for Software Engineering and enthusiasm for tools like Claude Code, Open Code, GitHub Copilot.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to Senior Software Engineer development.
• Open and honest communication with constructive feedback.

Responsabilidades

• Lead an interdisciplinary team of software engineers, UI/UX experts, agile coaches, and product owners on high-quality software solutions.
• Conceptualize complex software projects and implement them with clients.
• Practice agile software development with daily scrums, client reviews, and retrospectives.
• Design sustainable software architectures and implement iteratively.
• Apply DevOps practices to deliver value and gather user feedback.
• Introduce new and stable technologies where appropriate.
• Work self-organized within the project team and help shape XITASO.

These tasks interest you:

• You will take on a role of responsibility within an interdisciplinary team of highly qualified software engineers, UI/UX experts, agile coaches, and product owners, working on high-quality software solutions.
• Together with your team, you will conceptualize complex and versatile software projects and implement them in collaboration with our clients.
• You will practice agile software development with us through daily scrums, client reviews, and retrospectives, supported by our Agile Coaches.
• You will design sustainable software architectures together with your team and implement them iteratively and incrementally.
• You will use DevOps methods to quickly deliver value to end users and gather feedback.
• You will implement new and stable technologies where appropriate.
• You will work self-organizedwithin your project team, take on responsibility, and actively help shape XITASO.

That makes you stand out:

• You have a university degree in computer science or a related field.
• You have several years of practical experience in software development.
• You have excellent Spanish and English skills (at least C1 level) to ensure clear and confident communication within the team and with our partners.
• You are familiar with our technology stack and are eager to expand it.
• You have a broad understanding of technology and concepts and keep up with current developments.
• You are committed to high quality - this includes unit tests, code reviews, clean code, design patterns, refactoring, conceptual clarity, and modular architectures.
• You enjoy working on challenging architectural problems together with your team and project stakeholders.
• You have experience in “AI for Software Engineering” and are eager to use tools like Claude Code, Open Code, and GitHub Co-Pilot in our client projects; what matters is your enthusiasm and willingness to learn and grow here.
• You mentor less experienced colleagues and help them on their path to becoming Senior Software Engineers.
• You communicate openly and honestly, offer constructive criticism, and accept feedback.

Within our standardized and transparent salary framework, the gross annual salary of the position ranges from EUR 45,000 - 63,000 EUR and is based on various factors such as qualifications and experience.
