A leading remote technology recruitment company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build reliable software for their innovative cybersecurity training platform. The successful candidate will work with a team to deliver features and must have strong skills in the MERN tech stack, with an emphasis on TypeScript and JavaScript. This is a fully remote position offering a competitive salary of €60k-€65k and excellent benefits, including flexible hours and health insurance.

Senior Software Engineer Fully remote EU

Pearson Carter is proud to partner with a rapidly growing, fully remote company that’s transforming the way people learn cybersecurity. Their browser-based training platform empowers millions of learners worldwide to develop real hacking and defence skills through hands-on, gamified experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build reliable, high-quality software that keeps our platform fast, secure, and scalable.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to plan and deliver new features.
• Write clean, efficient code using modern tools like JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Develop and maintain databases, ensuring smooth performance and efficient data handling.
• Review code, share feedback, and support teammates through mentoring and collaboration.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and help improve overall stability.
• Stay current with new technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team.
• Take part in Agile development — including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Continuously look for ways to improve our development processes and product quality.

Experience:

• Solid experience with the MERN tech stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js).
• Strong skills in TypeScript and modern JavaScript development.
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining real‑world products.
• Proven background in software engineering, covering both front‑end and back‑end development.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Good understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP).
