Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mining Engineering or Geological Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Knowledge of mine ventilation.
• Advanced written and spoken English language skills.
• Proficiency in mine planning software: Deswik CAD, Deswik Scheduler, and Vulcan.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop short-term production plans for a production area, defining sequences and development activities.
• Optimize mining sequences, headings, and access to maximize mineral resource value and minimize risks.
• Provide technical support to Production and Development teams and participate in prioritization decisions.
• Ensure plans are practical and executable with operational, technical, and safety teams.
• Monitor plan adherence and propose corrective actions as needed.
• Contribute to value creation through mining method studies and better resource utilization with Geology and Rock Mechanics teams.
• Ensure compliance with General Standards for Safety, Health, Environment and Communities.
