Palatin is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to build the security function from the ground up, defining the roadmap, implementing security controls, and shaping security culture across an international technology company.

You will own the security strategy, lead vulnerability management and incident response, and partner with engineering leadership to balance growth with security best practices. The role is permanent with a hybrid Barcelona setup and flexible working hours.

Formación

• 5+ years in Security Engineering, Infrastructure Security or Application Security.
• Experience building or maturing a security function in a startup/scale-up.
• Hands-on security for AWS (or GCP), Kubernetes and cloud infra.
• Solid knowledge of app security, OWASP Top 10, API security, secure SDLC.
• Programming experience in Python, Go or TypeScript.
• Experience with incident response, vulnerability management and security automation.
• Excellent communication and ability to work autonomously in an international environment.

At Palatin, we're looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join a fast-growing international technology company that is scaling rapidly and investing heavily in its engineering platform.

This is a unique opportunity to build the company's security function from the ground up. You'll define the roadmap, implement security controls, shape security culture, and become the reference point for security across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the company's security strategy, establishing security practices and controls from the ground up.
• Secure cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes environments and applications, improving the overall security posture across the platform.
• Lead vulnerability management, incident response and security monitoring while collaborating closely with engineering teams.
• Promote a security-first culture through awareness initiatives, documentation and practical guidance for developers.
• Partner with Platform, Engineering and leadership teams to balance business growth with security best practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Infrastructure Security or Application Security.
• Previous experience building or significantly maturing a security function within a startup or scale-up environment.
• Strong hands-on experience securing AWS (or GCP), Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of application security principles, OWASP Top 10, API Security and secure software development.
• Programming experience with Python, Go or TypeScript.
• Experience with incident response, vulnerability management and security automation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously in an international environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Terraform, Docker or Infrastructure as Code security.
• Knowledge of GDPR, SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
• Background in penetration testing or offensive security.
