Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch - Search Relevance team. You will contribute to the technical direction of search capabilities, designing and implementing new features, improving relevance, and resolving bugs as part of a globally distributed team.

You will work with Java extensively, tackle challenging algorithms, and collaborate asynchronously across regions.

Formación

• Experience with search or vector databases at scale.
• Solid Java skills and knowledge of core libraries and concurrency.
• Ability to drive projects from design to delivery autonomously.

Responsabilidades

• Lead initiatives to deliver industry-leading search and relevance.
• Build new features and fix complex bugs, sometimes inventing algorithms.
• Collaborate with a distributed team on vector search capabilities.
• Be an expert on Elasticsearch search relevance and improvements.
• Engage with global community on issues and PRs; triage and hand off when needed.
• Write idiomatic Java code for Elasticsearch-based systems.
