Betby is seeking a Senior Scala Engineer to join our Line management team. You will develop and maintain the platform delivering betting odds to the sportsbook, collaborating with multiple teams in a cross-functional environment.

The role involves real-time data delivery, WebSocket/GraphQL lines, and improving line delivery architectures. We welcome experienced engineers who thrive in high-load, scalable systems and want to influence architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• Senior or strong mid-level backend engineer with a focus on Scala.
• Experience building distributed services and microservices.
• Proficient in REST APIs, GraphQL, and WebSocket.
• Experience with streaming and reactive streams.
• Ability to handle complex system design and business logic.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain Scala-based sportsbook services.
• Work on real-time sportsbook data delivery using WebSocket and GraphQL.
• Migrate line delivery from RabbitMQ to Kafka.
• Improve streaming for performance, scalability, and loading speed.
• Refactor and improve existing services.
• Support safer, faster releases.
