Causa Prima in Madrid is looking for a senior SAP ABAP expert to own a strategic ABAP add-on that interfaces with S/4HANA and ECC. You will shape architecture, drive upgrade-safe delivery, and be the technical voice in SAP finance projects.

You will lead data flows, certification efforts, and FI/CO logic while mentoring on modern ABAP, CDS views, OO ABAP, ABAP Unit, and RAP. Fluency in English is expected; Spanish would be a strong plus.

Formación

• At least 6 years of hands-on ABAP development on S/4HANA and ECC.
• ABAP shipped into production with upgrade cycles and volume handling.
• Deep AP knowledge: three-way match, Skonto postings, open item management.
• Strong modern ABAP: CDS views, OO ABAP, ABAP Unit, RAP and upgrade-safe coding.
• Fluency in SAP integration with S/4HANA and ECC (OData, RFC, IDoc).
• Judgment on scope and risk and clear communication with engineers and execs.
• Curiosity about AI, and energy for enterprise systems and AI synergy.
• English communication; Spanish or German is a plus.
• Using AI with ADT services to speed development; AbapGIT bonus.

Responsabilidades

• Own the add-on: architectural ownership of the ABAP add-on in its namespace.
• Clean core and certification: drive toward clean core compliance and SAP certification.
• SAP data and APIs: design data movement with OData, BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs at production volume.
• FI/CO domain leadership: translate accounting requirements into code.
• Set the engineering bar: define conventions, testability, ABAP Unit, static analysis.
• Data structuring across landscapes: unify COA, company codes and country versions.
• Reliability and auditability: ensure idempotency, reconciliation and traceability.
• Customer-facing technical lead: lead technical discovery with finance and SAP teams.
