Job summary

Resident Advisor seeks a Senior QA Engineer to own end-to-end testing for ra.co, iOS/Android apps, and RA Scan. You will work across five product teams, ensuring flaky tests are fixed, expanding automation, and handling high-risk releases such as payments and checkout.

You will collaborate with developers to write tests in JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, or Swift, and apply AI tools to improve testing speed and coverage. Strong API and SQL testing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Several years in QA or test engineering, typically four or more, testing web and mobile products.
• Hands-on test automation: built and maintained automated tests that run in CI for web and mobile.
• Ability to write and fix tests alongside developers in JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin or Swift.
• Ability to test APIs and validate data with SQL.
• Good risk judgment on what to test deeply vs. lightly.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and their limits.
• Clear bug reports and test plans that others can act on.

Responsibilities

• Keep the end-to-end web test suite healthy: fix flaky tests and extend coverage.
• Grow automated testing for iOS/Android apps and RA Scan with developers.
• Test high-risk releases, including payments and checkout edge cases.
• Review and improve test plans written by teams.
• Use AI to write and maintain tests and guide developers.
• Brief external testing partners and review returned results.
• Report bugs clearly and track remediation with product teams.
• Track simple metrics like production bugs and test reliability.
