Job summary

Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks for web applications in an Agile setting. You will automate UI/API tests using Playwright and Typescript, guide quality practices, and support the team with testing strategies and data management.

The role requires 5+ years in test automation, strong Jira experience, and the ability to read/write Java or C# code when needed. Fluent English and Spanish a plus; based in Madrid.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Agile DevOps environment is mandatory.
• Experience leading testing initiatives in an Agile team from dev to acceptance testing.
• Strong test case design ensuring coverage of requirements/acceptance criteria.
• Experience with risk-based testing.
• 5+ years in test automation for UI and API.
• Willingness to perform manual testing when required.
• Self-guided DB exploration to locate test data.
• Good Jira knowledge; XRAY knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Embed as QA Automation Engineer in an Agile team.
• Drive quality across the team for software quality.
• Design test cases to cover requirements and execute them.
• Identify tests suitable for automation and implement with Playwright/Typescript.
• Automate UI and API tests; perform required manual testing.
• Organize test data and maintain regression test suites.
• Read/write some code in Java or C# when needed.
• Document test execution in an auditable manner.
