Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer (Web) for a fully remote role in Spain. You will balance manual testing with automation, build and maintain Playwright tests, and ensure quality across browsers and devices.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to drive releases and improve test coverage. Ideal candidates have strong QA methodologies, API testing experience, and proficiency with Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, Jira, Git, and Allure.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and end-to-end testing processes.
• Solid understanding of web technologies and client-server architecture, including HTTP/HTTPS, REST, the DOM, cookies, caching, and local storage.
• Experience with cross-browser and responsive testing across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and mobile viewports.
• Proficiency with browser DevTools and debugging proxies such as Proxyman, Charles, Fiddler, or similar tools.
• Hands-on API testing experience using tools such as Postman, including REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Practical experience with Jira, Git, and Allure TestOps or comparable test management platforms.
• Hands-on automation experience with Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript, including independently writing, maintaining, and debugging automated tests.
• Experience with products involving feeds, chats, subscriptions, dating, streaming, or other media and social interaction features is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and the ability to prioritize tasks and resolve problems without close supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and time management.
• Fluency in Russian and good English proficiency are both required.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance for business features from technical hand-off through successful production release.
• Review product specifications, prepare test plans, and develop comprehensive test cases and checklists before stabilization begins.
• Estimate testing efforts accurately, prioritize tasks effectively, and consistently meet agreed deadlines.
• Perform functional, exploratory, regression, UI/UX, cross-browser, responsive, end-to-end, and API testing.
• Write, maintain, and improve automated tests using Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript within the existing automation framework.
• Balance manual and automated testing responsibilities, dedicating approximately 50% of your time to each.
• Document test activities thoroughly and participate in peer reviews, including reviewing test code and responding to feedback on your own work.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Front-End and Back-End Engineers, and Architects throughout the development cycle.
• Support production releases by validating builds, performing smoke and regression tests, and monitoring live errors and application performance.
• Track and improve QA performance indicators, including escaped defect rates and test coverage, to strengthen product quality over time.
