Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Engineer based in Spain to join a product squad as a core technical contributor. You will own test strategy, automation, performance testing, and quality gates, shaping how testing integrates with development from the earliest stages.

You’ll mentor engineers, lead advanced testing initiatives, and drive modern QA practices across the organization. The role emphasizes autonomy, technical depth, and real impact in high-scale fintech systems.

Competenze

• 5+ years of QA engineering experience in a software product environment.
• Strong test automation engineering skills with production-quality tests in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Deep experience with API testing, REST, contract testing, and JSON schema validation.
• Hands-on experience with performance and load testing.
• Experience in Java-based backend environments and understanding of system architecture.
• Ability to mentor other QA engineers and lead through technical expertise.

Mansioni

• Embed within an engineering squad as a core technical contributor during ceremonies.
• Define and refine acceptance criteria with Product Owners to identify ambiguity and risks.
• Own the squad’s test architecture and strategy for unit, integration, contract, and E2E testing.
• Lead performance and load testing, establishing baselines and actionable improvements.
• Design, maintain, and improve automated test suites in CI environments.
• Mentor QA Engineers and contribute to QA standards across the organization.
• Represent QA in broader initiatives and drive testing discipline and tooling decisions.
• Take ownership of strategic QA initiatives and AI-assisted testing workflows.
