Align Technology, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Python to join the Madrid-based team. You will develop, enhance, and maintain critical applications within the Clinical OPS Services group, partnering with product, QA, DevOps and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable components with Python and AWS, analyzing systems, performing code reviews, and supporting release processes to ensure reliability and performance.

Formación

• Bachelor level or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of industry development experience.
• Strong understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, bug tracking, code review, and unit tests.
• Proven experience with Python and AWS.
• Experience with Java is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Engineering Manager and delivery leads in implementing incremental changes across multiple applications and projects.
• Design, develop, and enhance components using Python (and some Java) and AWS.
• Analyze existing systems to understand dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, DevOps and stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure testability.
• Maintain and improve health of the codebase, address technical debt, and optimize performance.
• Monitor application performance, stability, and code quality; identify enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Support release processes, troubleshooting, and post-deployment activities.
