zooplus is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer (Python) to join the Mobile Apps Team in Madrid. You will drive features, collaborate with the product owner, area architect, and teammates to clarify needs and deliver scalable backend services powering the mobile apps for millions of customers.

You will participate in design decisions, own parts of the software lifecycle, and contribute to a DevOps culture with cloud deployments, container orchestration, and CI/CD.

Formación

• 6+ years of Python backend experience.
• Experience with Java and the Spring Framework is a plus.
• Strong understanding of complex architecture landscapes.
• Ownership mindset with focus on high‑quality solutions; experience with unit testing and TDD.
• DevOps experience with containers, CI pipelines, AWS and Kubernetes.
• Mentor teammates and help clarify requirements across teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in solution investigation, estimations, planning and alignment with teams.
• Design, implement, deliver, and support backend rest services using microservices.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate solutions into mobile apps.
• Promote and implement test automation (unit, integration, e2e, performance).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for CI, development and deployment.
• Deploy applications on cloud using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and Terraform.
• Work in an agile and collaborative environment with code reviews and pair programming.
• Maintain existing applications and reduce technical debt.
