Manychat is seeking a Senior Python Engineer for the Billing & Accounts domain in Barcelona. You will design the Python foundations for payments, provider integrations, invoicing, anti-fraud and regulatory compliance.

You will work end-to-end on architecture decisions as there is no predefined roadmap, and you will mentor two mid-level engineers. Join a scale‑up with 400+ people across three continents, offering relocation support to Barcelona, health insurance, learning budgets, and flexible

Formación

• 6+ years of commercial Python development in production.
• Strong expertise in modern Python frameworks (FastAPI preferred).
• Experience designing and integrating APIs, including third-party services.
• Strong understanding of async programming and concurrency (AsyncIO).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and large datasets.
• Experience building backend systems under production load.
• Strong testing practices (unit and integration tests; PyTest) and CI/CD with Docker.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build Billing's Python foundation and integrate with PHP backend.
• Build async Python services for payments, invoicing, anti-fraud and compliance.
• Design and expose internal and third-party APIs with stable contracts.
• Implement fault-tolerant patterns: retries, idempotency, observability.
• Set testing, CI/CD and rollout practices for the layer.
• Mentor two mid-level engineers and raise the technical bar.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align with business needs.
