King is seeking a Python-focused backend developer in Barcelona to design, build, and operate data-driven services and APIs at scale. You will work across forecasting and analytics workloads, contributing to distributed systems and cloud-native pipelines that power decision-making.

Formación

• Strong Python development experience in production environments.
• Experience building backend services and APIs.
• Understanding of modern web application development; able to contribute across the stack.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and optimizing relational databases.
• Experience building data-intensive applications and processing large datasets.
• Experience with background processing or distributed workloads.
• Experience deploying and operating applications in containerized/cloud-native environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automation pipelines.
• Strong testing, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; cross-functional teamwork.
• High code quality standards and reliability mindset.
• Curiosity and adaptability when learning new technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
• Build scalable and reliable applications for forecasting, analytics, and decision-making.
• Develop distributed processing pipelines and asynchronous workloads.
• Design and optimize relational databases, data models, and query performance.
• Build and maintain data processing, analytical, and forecasting workflows.
• Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications when required.
• Build intuitive interfaces and workflows for technical and non-technical users.
• Integrate services with King and Microsoft ecosystems for authentication, collaboration, and data exchange.
• Develop and maintain APIs and connectors for interoperability between systems.
• Deploy, monitor, and operate containerized apps in cloud-native environments.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and engineering best practices.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and performance; deliver high-quality code.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing across teams.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation throughout the software lifecycle.
