Job summary

Global M in Barcelona is seeking a backend engineer to design and build scalable Python services. You will architect data storage and retrieval across SQL/NoSQL databases and develop batch or streaming pipelines using AWS and Kubernetes.

You will experiment with modern AI tooling and coding agents in a builder-minded, English- or Spanish-speaking team. Hybrid work with onsite days in Barcelona is offered.

Qualifications

• Several years of backend engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Python or another backend technology, as well as APIs.
• Experience designing and owning data systems end-to-end, not just maintaining others' systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and data architectures.
• Strong technical decision-making skills and a builder mindset.
• Fluent in English or Spanish.
