Job summary

Scope Ratings GmbH in Madrid is seeking an analyst to focus on infrastructure and project finance credit ratings. You will analyze asset-based and project finance transactions, review contracts, and build cash-flow models under senior guidance.

You will contribute to rating reports, participate in committees, and engage with investors. Requires 4+ years in a major rating agency or financial firm, strong modelling, and fluency in English plus another European language.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of post-graduate experience in infrastructure and project finance in a major rating agency, bank, advisory firm or investor credit risk team.
• Strong financial modelling skills with ability to stress test project cash flows under senior guidance.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative discipline with rigorous finance education.
• Fluency in English and at least one major European language; French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as analyst for infrastructure and project finance credit ratings, focusing on asset-based and project finance transactions.
• Perform analysis and research on new and existing infrastructure and project finance deals in various sectors under senior guidance.
• Review project agreements and financing documents to identify structural strengths and weaknesses of the credit exposure.
• Support the definition of stress assumptions for credit impairment scenarios.
• Modify and run project cash-flow models to incorporate stresses and obtain expected loss under stress scenarios.
• Contribute to rating reports and sector research on credit risk in infrastructure and project finance trends.
• Participate in rating committees and present analytical findings.
