Job summary

Scope Ratings GmbH is seeking an experienced Project Finance & Infrastructure Analyst to lead credit analysis for infrastructure and project finance transactions across sectors in Europe. You will apply Scope's rating methodology, develop robust rating rationales, and contribute to the evolution of analytical approaches.

The role combines hands-on financial modelling, site visits when needed, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering with finance background or MBA/Finance degree.
• MBA and/or CFA is an advantage.
• Fluency in English and another major European language; French preferred.
• Strong financial modelling skills including project cash flows and stress tests.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Professional presence with interpersonal skills and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Acts as lead analyst for infrastructure and project finance credit ratings.
• Leads or supports analysis of new and existing transactions across sectors.
• Visits project sites around Europe as needed and reviews contracts and documents.
• Defines stress assumptions and runs cash-flow models for stressed scenarios.
• Contributes to methodology development and produces rating reports.
• Participates in rating committees and supports outreach to investors and issuers.

Education

Master's degree in engineering complemented with rigorous education in finance; or master's degree in business, economics or finance

MBA and/or CFA

Fluency in English and at least one major European language; French preferred

Excellent financial modelling skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
